Sophie Hickson is a woven textile designer who has a strong interest in the aesthetic of streetwear fashion and uses these influences to translate into woven textiles. Employing her distinctive graphic design style, Sophie adeptly translates concepts using CAD to create diverse patterns and repeats. Leveraging her comprehensive understanding of colour theory, she explores innovative weaves and palettes, fostering creativity with traditional textile forms.  

Looking ahead, Sophie is enthusiastic about harnessing her expertise in handwoven techniques, CAD, and interdisciplinary approaches to refine her practice. ‘We Are’ marks just the beginning of her journey, as she remains steadfast in her commitment to continual growth and development as a designer.
